Shane K. McNeill's varied background provides him with the insight and experience needed to successfully represent his clients' interests. He is not only an experienced lawyer, but is also a licensed civil engineer. After obtaining a Bachelor of Science degree in civil engineering from the University of Alabama in Huntsville in 1997, he furthered his studies and completed a law degree at the Nashville School of Law in 2008.
As the founder of Tellus Law, Shane is a trial attorney primarily working criminal defense cases, automobile and truck accidents, and issues related to civil engineering. He frequently represents clients involved in criminal and civil litigation in Franklin, Nashville, Brentwood and Thompson's Station, in addition to many other cities in Williamson, Maury and Davidson Counties. Shane also handles car accident cases throughout the entire state of Tennessee.
Shane has an extensive civil engineering background and is licensed to practice engineering in Alabama and Tennessee. His civil engineering experience includes site design, subdivision design, road design and erosion and sediment control. As a professional engineer, he was involved in multiple road design projects, including Veteran's Parkway in Murfreesboro and U.S. Highway 64 in Wayne County. Shane also taught transportation engineering and civil engineering design at the University of Alabama in Huntsville and served as the town engineer for Thompson's Station, Tennessee.
He is a member of the American Society of Civil Engineers, Tennessee Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers and the Tennessee Bar Association. Shane has been admitted to practice law in the Supreme Court of the United States and the United States Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit, where he argued a case involving federal employment appealed from the Merit Systems Protection Board.
In addition to his work as an attorney, Shane is an active participant in his community. He served on the Board of Directors for the Spring Hill Imagination Library, completed the Spring Hill Citizen's Police Academy in 2015 and served on the Thompson's Station/Spring Hill Joint Transportation Task Force. After earning the rank of Eagle Scout in 1990, he continued to be involved in scouting activities and is a former Cubmaster for Cub Scout Pack 289.
